This is your INVITATION to JOIN the VISITATION 2022 CORNERSTONE RETREAT
6pm Friday, June 10th through 8pm Saturday, June 11th
Cornerstone is simple, but its impact has been profound. Since the inception of Cornerstone, thousands of men have enjoyed the experience at more than fifty parishes across the United States. In 2006 the retreat was brought to American Martyrs in Manhattan Beach from New Jersey. Since then, the Cornerstone retreat has expanded to several parishes across Southern California and began at Visitation in 2016.
The retreat is hosted by a team of men from Visitation who, after experiencing it themselves, are passing along the gift of Cornerstone. It’s simply a Gathering of Ordinary Men sharing their faith and life experiences. In a casual atmosphere, some of these men will give a short talk followed by thoughtful reflection and discussion. You may share in the discussion as much or as little as you choose, or not at all, if that is your preference. This short break from your daily routine, provides the opportunity to reflect, renew, and strengthen your faith while meeting other men in our Christian community.
ARE YOU READY TO RENEW YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST?
It is hosted at our parish campus. All meals (including Friday dinner through dinner Saturday) are included. We offer accommodations to those who wish to sleep-over (recommended) or you may sleep at home and return Saturday morning. A letter confirming your registration and providing other details will be sent to you prior to the retreat.
Provides an outstanding opportunity to meet and interact with other men of the parish
Is a welcoming, non-judgmental environment
Allows for the opportunity to step out of the hustle of daily life to relax, pause and reflect
There will be several opportunities on the weekend to examine your relationship with God, your family, and others in your life. Most of all, it is an opportunity to step out of our daily routine to think about those things that matter to you most, in an atmosphere that lends itself to reflection and renewal.
You may also email us here expressing interest or asking questions and we will get back to you promptly. Or call Jerry Feldman at 323-706-6788 with any questions.
