In the midst of the Sacraments of Initiation lives the Sacrament of Penance. It too is food for the journey. As we are sinners, we need to experience what the people in the time of Jesus so longed for: a concrete experience of the healing mercy of God. This sacrament is meant not only to free us from the empty promise of sin but also to give us a better understanding of the path upon which the disciple of Jesus is to walk: Being forgiven so that we might forgive.
Children in preparation for their First Communion generally receive the Sacrament of Penance a month prior to their reception of Communion.
Penance is offered each Saturday from 4:00 – 4:45 in the Church. One can also call the rectory to make an appointment with a priest.
