I have been a member of Visitation Church since I was a baby. I was baptized, received my first communion, and got confirmed all at this parish. Growing up as part of this parish I have come to love and appreciate the community that calls Visitation home. I attended St. Bernard High School and El Camino Community College. I have been trained through the archdiocese to work with teens and specifically to lead confirmation classes.
I started volunteering in the confirmation program the year after I got confirmed in high school. As a teen I started as a teacher’s aid and after a while began teaching classes. After 5 years of volunteer work I was hired as the confirmation coordinator by Fr. Jim in the summer of 2014. Working with teens and sharing my faith is a passion of mine, it is not always easy but it is the most fulfilling job I could ask for. I am so glad that I am able to do the work that I love and help the community that raised me at the same time.
